Honda CRF250RX 2024 Introducing the Honda CRF250RX 2024 FOR THE RIDE

CRF250RX 2024

RISE UP

The CRF250RX is the off-road tool you’ve always wanted. It’s a high-performance trail/enduro hot shot, now with the lightweight chassis of the CRF450RX and more engine torque, built to exploit all the advantages a 250 offers; manoeuvrability and nimble agility.

Off-road equipment standard-fit

Lightweight and tough, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear DID wheels are finished in black. An 8L plastic fuel tank extends riding range and, to keep it out of harm’s way, the forged aluminium sidestand tucks away neatly. The CRF250RX also now comes with knuckle guards to protect hands and levers.

Razor-sharp, lightweight chassis

Steering geometry is sharper, with increased ride height and ground clearance. The tapered aluminium twin-spar frame features narrower main tubes and 20% less lateral stiffness, to elevate cornering performance no matter where you’re riding. Both top and bottom yokes and swingarm are tuned to match.

New Showa suspension settings

The Showa suspension features lighter damping and lower spring rates than the CRF250R, and the rear shock now has larger valving, a lightweight steel spring and new Pro-Link ratio for faster response and bump absorption. The 49mm Showa steel spring front fork has an extra 5mm stroke and, like the shock, is fully adjustable.

Stronger torque just where you need it

The ECU has new off-road specific mapping and the radiators are the same size, but 6% more efficient. A larger airbox, steeper injector angle, redesigned cylinder head and single-muffler exhaust inject an extra 15% more torque between 6-10,000rpm, adding to the DOHC engine’s incredible top-end power.

Long haul engineering

For consistent lubrication under extreme conditions, the oil pathway around the cylinder head has been optimised, alongside double springs for the intake valves and press-fit cam sprocket for more accurate, high-rpm valve timing. To handle a much stronger output, we’ve added an extra clutch plate. And, for perfect drive we have revised – and strengthened – all 5 gearbox ratios. Shifting’s smoother, too.

HRC Launch Control & Engine Mode Select Button (EMSB)

HRC Launch Control has 3 start levels and gives the CRF250RX an advantage right off the line. The EMSB gives you 3 choices of engine character: Mode 1 serves up a balanced power and torque delivery. Mode 2 smooths out power and torque, for improved rear wheel traction on slippery ground while Mode 3 punches aggressively, for dealing with deep sand.

Slim bodywork and easy maintenance

The sidepanels and radiator shrouds are slimmer, lighter and attach with just four bolts each side for fast, easy access. The seat is shorter and 10mm lower at the rear to open up movement around the machine. An adjustable-position aluminium Renthal Fatbar (839) is standard for total feel and control.

Overview Mechanically unchanged for 23YM the off-road ready CRF250RX is stronger than ever; in 22YM it got the lightweight chassis of the CRF450RX plus extensive cylinder head development for a considerable low-rpm torque boost. Cooling efficiency was also improved, while a strengthened gearbox got revised ratios and nine-plate clutch. The Showa suspension is set to deal with a variety of terrain and conditions and knuckle guards are also standard fit. A new graphic treatment marks out the 23YM machine and features a brand new redesign of the iconic HRC logos
